Tahera Rahmani
Founder & Director

Tahera Rahmani is a journalist and community advocate passionate about connecting and empowering Afghan newcomers in Philadelphia. Tahera founded the Philly-Afghan InfoHub to serve as both a media platform and a resource space for Afghan immigrants navigating new lives in the United States. With a background in media and nonprofit work, Rahmani combines her love for storytelling with her dedication to building bridges across communities. she believes in creating spaces where people feel informed, supported, and inspired.
Chris Shaddock
Editor & Writing Mentor

Chris Shaddock volunteers as an editor and writing mentor at the Philly-Afghan Info Hub, helping community members share their voices and stories. He holds a Master’s in Journalism from Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Publishing from DeSales University.
Chris has reported for The Standard-Journal in Milton, Pennsylvania, and the Logan Center for Urban Investigative Reporting in Philadelphia, where he covered stories on local issues and city life.
