On January 28, 2024, the Philly-Afghan Info Hub hosted a Community Joy Day with Afghan residents of Philadelphia to celebrate the release of its Resource & Recipes Guidebook.
On October 22, 2023, the Philly-Afghan Info Hub hosted a Community Joy Day, bringing together Afghan residents of Philadelphia and local organizations for resource-sharing, music, face-painting, and celebration.
On December 21, 2024, the Philly-Afghan Info Hub hosted another Community Joy Day, celebrating Yalda Night, the holiday season, and the close of the year. It was a beautiful evening of poetry, culture, music, and dance, where we also reflected on all we accomplished in 2024 and shared our upcoming plans for 2025.
A total of 80 people joined us for our Community Joy Day in November 2025, where we celebrated the launch of our new website. We were honored to host some community vendors and business owners, along with several other community members who shared their stories—some of which are also featured on our site. It was a joyful day of coming together, connecting, and enjoying time with one another.
